Beauty Supply Warehouse was established in Las Vegas, NV, with one ambitious goal—to create the most fantastic and mind-blowing beauty supply store on the face of the earth.
The doors of our inaugural location swung open in December 2002, but the journey began 20 years prior when our founder immersed themselves in the beauty supply industry, working for a family-owned distribution company. Two decades of studying customers, manufacturers, buying patterns, and industry shifts led to the development of a bold and ambitious business model. Beauty Supply Warehouse sets itself apart from typical beauty supply stores by embracing the “superstore” concept.

BSW currently operates four locations in Las Vegas, Nevada, three locations in San Diego, California, one location in Aurora, Colorado, one in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and two in Jackson, Mississippi. Our corporate office is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. With over 200,000 square feet of retail space, averaging approximately 20,000 square feet per store (considerably larger than the typical beauty supply store ranging between 1,000 and 2,000 sq. ft.), each location boasts a full-service beauty salon, typically licensed to independent contractors.
The grand opening of our first store was an immediate success, paving the way for the opening of our second store in less than six months. BSW #2, situated in the heart of Las Vegas, quickly became the “talk of the town” and, more importantly, the “talk of the industry.”
Beauty Supply Warehouse revolutionized the beauty supply store landscape with a 20,000 sq. ft. retail facility solely dedicated to beauty products. This included a wig department with over 10,000 wigs in stock, expansive sections filled with hair extensions, a comprehensive selection of hair care brands, a top-notch cosmetics department, and a full-service beauty salon. With two highly successful locations, we expanded rapidly, opening our third, fourth, fifth, and sixth locations in 2004, all met with similar success.
After leasing and opening our seventh store in early 2005, we decided to invest in real estate for future sites. We purchased our first piece of real estate, an 8,000 sq. ft. freestanding building in San Diego, and opened BSW #8 before the year’s end. We also closed escrow on a 25,000 sq. ft. freestanding building in Aurora, Colorado. The Colorado store, opened in October 2006, has proven to be one of our highest-volume locations. Currently, we have several locations in the South, including a 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, opened in June 2007, and two 45,000 sq. ft. facilities in Jackson, Mississippi, both opened in 2008. We are actively working on expanding our market share in existing markets and plan to open additional locations nationwide.
