During the late eighties, Hermann dedicated his days to the mill, while his free time at home was often filled with tackling handy projects and small renovations for his family. One fateful DIY afternoon, disaster struck when the end cap of his multi-bit screwdriver came loose, causing the bits to spill out and scatter everywhere.

Surveying the aftermath of this bit-related explosion, Hermann was struck with the realization that there had to be a more effective way to organize them. Determined to find a solution, even though he lacked knowledge in prototyping and manufacturing, Hermann, with unwavering support from his wife, Marilyn, embarked on the journey to establish Megapro Tools from the ground up.
