In 1932, Perry Epstein founded Perry Equipment & Supply in Philadelphia. As an engineer, Epstein recognized the value of used process equipment, especially during the challenging times of the Great Depression. His vision focused on providing high-quality equipment at competitive prices, a principle that continues to guide the company today.

Originally a market leader in used process equipment for the chemical and related industries, Perry expanded its operations to manufacture new pressure vessels and heat exchangers post-World War II. This manufacturing arm is now known as Perry Products Corp. Over the years, the used equipment divisions broadened their offerings to include equipment for the production of plastics, pulp, paper, sugar, and pharmaceuticals. Following the merger with Videx Machinery in 1998, Perry Videx became the world’s largest used equipment dealer, catering to various industries.

Perry’s global presence began with the establishment of its first international office in England in 1990, operating as Perry Process Equipment, Ltd. Subsequent expansions led to offices in Poland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Ukraine, Mexico, and the deployment of agents in numerous countries, demonstrating the company’s commitment to serving a diverse global clientele.
