Katydid Wholesale was born out of the creative vision of designer and entrepreneur, Katy Messersmith. Her journey into the world of fashion began in 2002 during a volunteer stint at a prenatal clinic in Ghana. When her luggage went missing, Katy collaborated with local seamstresses to create vibrant wrap skirts and playful shoulder bags. This experience ignited Katy’s passion for design, leading her to continue crafting unique shirts and bags upon her return to Dallas, TX.
