The parent company, Lee-Mar Aquarium & Pet Supplies, remains under the same family ownership. Our journey began in the Schultz family garage in 1973, when Lee and Mary Jo Schultz laid the foundation.
Following Lee’s military service, they collaborated to distribute pet supplies to local stores in their area. In 1975, Lee and Mary Jo passed the business on to Terry and Linda Boyd. Armed with Terry’s expertise in Navy Supply Depot distribution, a Stanford MBA, and a vision, the Boyds relocated to Southern California.
As they forged new alliances with various pet supplies manufacturers, Terry and Linda witnessed rapid growth. In a short span, they outgrew their facilities in Vista, CA, and established their current location on Dogwood Way.
