Born out of a passion for American fashion, our founders identified a void in the industry and embarked on a journey to deepen their understanding. Immersing themselves in the intricacies of the trade, from hands-on experiences in knitting, dyeing, cutting, and sewing at southern factories to learning from mentors across various sectors of the fashion world, they embraced the philosophy that “It takes a village.” In the early ’90s, Royal Apparel took root on a desk in the Manhattan Garment District, with the original duo steadily expanding their team. Dedicated to supplying private-label premium knitwear to luxury stores, national fashion brands, and prominent retailers, Royal Apparel weathered a shift in the late ’90s when much of the industry moved production overseas. Undeterred by challenges, Royal Apparel remained steadfast in its commitment to the ‘Made in USA’ mission.
Adapting to changing times, Royal Apparel ventured into the blank industry, creating and offering classic, timeless pieces. Today, it stands as a trailblazer in American-made and eco-friendly garment production. Our garments, favored by top musicians, artists, wellness brands, entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 corporations, and various industries, reflect our dedication to quality and sustainability. From musicians to tech giants, national parks to retail chains, our clientele spans diverse sectors.
Throughout our growth, we’ve reinvested in our company, expanding our headquarters in Long Island and production in Pennsylvania. Investments in advanced computer systems and high-tech machinery underscore our commitment to innovation. As we continue to expand our workforce, our journey aligns with our passion for sustainable fashion, stimulating the U.S. economy, and contributing positively to the planet. Royal Apparel evolution mirrors the ever-changing landscape of the industry, and we eagerly anticipate collaborating with even more brands and individuals who share our vision for a sustainable future.
