With a rich history dating back to 1851, Kutztown Soda Works Inc. holds the honor of being one of Kutztown’s longest continually operated businesses. The legacy began when Ed Immel started bottling beverages sourced from an exceptional spring near Main St. & Constitution Blvd. In 1888, Ed Immel sold the business to Cyrus Rhode and his son John, marking a transition. The Rhodes family constructed a bottling plant behind the residences on Peach St., further solidifying the business’s presence in the community. Read more…
